Use the BLMSP column in the Baby Lock Soprano guide. The document also has separate BLMSP/BLMLR and BL210A columns; matching stitch numbers do not make their values interchangeable. Check your model label and the manual supplied with it before setting width, length, foot, or special function. See the official Baby Lock Soprano Instruction and Reference Guide.
Selected rows show how to read the chart#
For pattern 01, the BLMSP row lists Zigzag foot J, width 0 as the default with a 0–7 range, and length 2.5 with a 0.2–5 range. It permits twin needle use and reverse. The walking foot is listed, subject to the guide’s no-reverse footnote.
Pattern 05 is a triple stretch stitch with foot J, width 0 (range 0–7), length 2.5 (range 0.4–5), and twin needle eligibility. Its row says reinforcement rather than normal reverse; the walking foot is prohibited. Pattern 09 lists foot J, width 3.5 (range 0–7), and length 1.4 (range 0–5), with twin needle and reverse eligibility. The walking foot’s no-reverse warning still applies.
These are selected examples, not the whole stitch chart. Read the required foot and every eligibility column together; a width range does not approve a twin needle on every stitch. Set up only the combination listed for your exact model, then test on the real fabric and layers. Stop if the needle touches the foot or plate. For stitching with a walking foot, follow that footnote and its own instructions; do not combine reverse simply because the pattern row normally permits it.
