This setup guide is for the BERNINA 770 QE Tula Pink Special Edition sewing-mode manual. Confirm the edition and the actual BSR accessory; the guide says supplied accessories vary by delivery country. Do not transfer these controls to the 770 QE PLUS, PRO, or another edition. See the official BERNINA 770 QE Tula Pink Special Edition User Manual.
Prepare BSR mode#
Attach a compatible BSR foot and lower the feed dog as the guide directs. The BSR menu opens when the machine recognizes the foot. Choose the mode before sewing and test on representative quilt layers with the selected needle, thread, and stabilizer. BSR status is not a rating for fabric thickness or stitch accuracy on every material.
In BSR1, sewing runs while the foot pedal is held, even when the fabric is stationary; releasing the pedal stops the machine. In BSR2, start with the foot pedal or Start/Stop button, and fabric movement controls stitch speed. When movement stops, the machine may sew one additional stitch before stopping, with needle position depending on where it stopped. Keep hands clear and follow the on-screen/manual status.
The guide’s usual straight-stitch length is 2 mm, with 1–1.5 mm for small details or stippling. These are the manual’s recommendations for the cited edition, not universal values for every quilt or stitch. Make a sample, inspect it, and adjust only within the matching manual. If the foot is not recognized, the feed dog is not in the required state, or stitches behave differently from the guide, stop and recheck the actual accessory and setup. For another BERNINA model, use its own manual.
