Use the exact NECCHI C35 owner manual, not promotional material claims, to choose from its fabric chart. The manual’s specific table gives these starting rows: TC fabric up to 6.0 mm with cotton/synthetic thread up to 0.2 mm and a normal 90/14–100/16 needle; jeans up to 6.0 mm with thread up to 0.3 mm and a jeans 100/16–110/18 needle; canvas up to 6.0 mm with thread up to 0.4 mm and a jeans 90/14–100/16 needle. See the official NECCHI C35 Instruction Manual.
For real leather, the table lists up to 5.0 mm, leather/synthetic thread up to 0.3 mm, and a leather 100/16 or normal 110/18 needle. For synthetic PU it lists up to 5.5 mm, thread up to 0.4 mm, and the same needle choices. The manual calls for a Teflon foot on real leather and synthetic PU, and recommends center needle position and medium/low speed for thick material. These are the manual’s stated chart boundaries, not independently tested capacity guarantees or promises for an arbitrary seam stack.
The general pressure setting is preset to 2. The manual says reduce for very thin material or increase for heavy material, within the dial’s limits. For a thick seam, its black foot button can help keep the foot level at the start; follow the illustrated sequence and let the button release after several stitches. Test the actual needle, thread, foot, stabilizer, and layers at the start of each project. Stop if the needle contacts the plate or foot, or if the machine strains. The C35 chart does not provide a complete per-stitch/foot matrix.
